So, I was at a dealership yesterday, and was sitting on some used bikes. I sat on one with a hammock, and said to the salesman that I wished they made one for my 06. He directed me to the parts counter when I was done day dreaming, and low and behold they make them. Must be a newer item, because last I checked they were only for 09+.
When I was shopping for my current ride I test road an 09 (1 year old at the time) with a hammock and loved the seat, made the bike. Was just a bit out of my price range, and ended up buying my 06.
They are a bit pricy, $549, but these seats feel awesome. Anyone running one yet on the old frame bikes? How are they for long haul comfort? Are they just as nice as the ones on the newer frames?
I can't be any help other than to say that I've never heard anyone dislike the hammock seats. I own an 06 bike as well and would be interested in trying one.
I had one on a 07 ultra and loved it. Very comfortable.
I have since sold the bike and am selling the seat.
Like new no rips tears or scuffs.
425.00 plus shipping if anyone is interested.
I had the hammock seat on my 2006 Ultra and currently have the hammock seat with the heaters on my 2011 Ultra.
In my opinion, it is Harley's best, most comfortable seat.
I have done numerous 1000 mile days on this seat and have been more than happy to get back on the bike the next day.
Thanks for the replies guys. I looked on kutters HD site, and I can get one there for $439 shipped. What other discount dealers are left? Also those with Kutter buying experience, how is the buying experience? Quick shipping?
