My '05 FLHR is blowing the 15amp battery fuse with everything off. Disconnecting the speedometer stopped the fuse from blowing. After close inspection I can't find any worn or broken wires and the looms are in good condition. I would think that if there was a short in the wiring the fuse would continue to blow. Is it possible the speedometer itself is at fault?
Not sure but it is possible it could be the speedometer. If it is bad I have the stock speedometer from an 05 Road King Classic you can have for the shipping. When I had my 05 I replaced the stock speedometer with the combination speedometer/tachometer, it is just sitting on the shelf.
PM me if you are interested. I also noticed this morning that I have the 05 electrical manual also just sitting on the shelf.
