Oil expands when it gets hot, 32 oz is good for me.

I put 1 quart (32oz) in when I changed it last year. Checked it on the gauge today, still 1 quart.

One quart is fine. It's just not all that critical to have the exact 38oz. In fact, a little less helps get it into neutral easier.

I change it every 3500 when I do oil. Let both drain overnite dump one quart of cheap ATF in prim and it shifts like a dream for 2.75 it works with wet clutches well

I followed the manual and put in 38 oz when I changed it today. This is the first time I changed it myself. Dealer did previous servicing but thought I'd give it a try this time.

I thoroughly drain it when hot. Pour in exactly 38oz. of Formula+, close it up and forget about it.
