The lock on one of my saddlebags is non-functional. The little tab is missing as is the nut that holds the tab on and as I understand it, a spring.
It feels gritty when you turn the key so I think it is time for a new one.
The lock on the other side is fine.
The lock on the tour pack works but it takes my buddy's key to do so, as I bought it from him.
So I am looking at the possibility of having 3 different drum keys on my chain.
I am hoping for only two.
Does HD make a 3 lock kit and what is the Part number?
Does HD make a 2 lock kit and what would be the part number of that?
Does HD cover the locks (broken) under ESP?
Are they any quality aftermarket parts that I should be aware of?
You can get replacement locks from dealer keyed to match your ignition key. Simply order a new lock and whatever missing parts and give them your key code if known or VIN if not known. They are supposed to make you prove ownership with registration or the like. On a side note, when servicing bike I always put graphite powder lubricant in my locks and work the key back and forth to keep them trouble free.
I bought a set of 2 locks and 2 keys for about $35 if I recall correctly.
Matched to my ignition. All I had to do was show them my original key.
I don't see why they wouldn't sell you a 3 lock set..
