Default Ultra Limited GPS Maps

Left Portland, Maine today for a ride home of about 160 miles. I decided to have both my Garmin Zumo 550 (which has a 1-2 year old map) and my built in HD GPS take me home. It didn't start well as the HD GPS didn't recognize the bridge out of Portland that I had to take. The HD GPS showed me in the water when I was on the bridge. Just how old is the map in that GPS?? BTW, I bought the bike in 4/14 and it was manufactured sometime just prior to that.

My understanding is that the maps on the OEM GPS are about 2 years old and are made by a company in the Netherlands or something close to that.

I have concluded the GPS on the Limited is not the best choice if you are traveling or doing any custom routing. I use a garmin when i need to depend on a GPS. All I use the stock GPS for is very basic stuff. Seriously if Harley had used a good GPS vendor it would have cost us another $1k to buy the bike.
