Not quite true. For 2006 and up Harley used the HK radio which uses the 2 ohm speaker. Prior to that a 4 ohm is used. Now if you install the Hog Tunes amp it will require the 4 ohm speakers no matter what radio you have.

A friend has an '06 SG and wanted to ride my '07 SG for a comparison, so yesterday we took a 40-mile ride and swapped bikes. He has the same HK stereo with stock speakers. I can tell you the difference is huge. I couldn't believe the tinny sound on his bike that couldn't even muster up a listening volume at highway speeds. If you guys ever doubt the superiority of the Hogtunes speakers, go take a ride on a stocker to refresh your memory!

A quick question. I went to the web site and looked at the speakers. Do you need a amp for just the 2 front speakers? I don't see how it would be louder by just changing speakers? For $99 it would be great to hear the music at 70mph. I have a 06 Street Glide without a tour pack.
