Default Exhaust removal and replacement

I got my deCATed head pipe today in the mail so I am in the process of removing the stock head pipe.

I have a few questions:
  1. When removing and replacing the O2 sensors, do I need to put anything on the threads or just screw them in dry into the new pipe?
  2. What is the torque spec for the cylinder head flange nuts?
  3. What are the torque spec for the clamps (yep I know they are supposed to be replaced but these have like 1100 miles on the bike).
Thanks!

1. anti seize
2. 80-120 INCH pounds. run for a while, then re torque while hot
3. I think this is 40 Foot pounds. Reusing is not a function of time on the bike, rather the exhaust clamps get bunged up when you torque them. I was able to reuse one of mine but not the other.

The service manual is your friend. Get one.

I just did mine and the manual says 45-60 foot pounds. I did them at 55.

tighten bottom nut of rear cyl ex flange to 9-18 in-lbs, tighten top nut to 100-120 in lbs, final tighten bottom nut to 100-120 in lbs.
then do the same for front cyl. I always re-check after running bike
Buy yourself a HD manual, if you're going to work on your bike! Also, buy new gaskets.
Good Luck.

Thanks all for the responses!

I definitely need to get a manual - I have electronic versions for all my other bikes, just can't find one for the later touring models! I guess I will have to break down and buy one.

I have new gaskets - including the pesky cross over!

All of this is a mute point for the short term - I went to install the gutted headpipe that I bought on eBay and found a dent in the front pipe with no visible damage to the shipping box.

The seller is going to do the right thing and is sending another but now I have to wait on shipping!

I guess I will be stealing the wife's bike for the weekend!
