It is interesting that some people think a tune on the dyno is bad for the bike. A 4th gear pull up to redline (most do 3 pulls) is no different than riding with your buddies and seeing who has the biggest ***** with most testosterone on the fastest bike, or passing a slower cage in front wide open, etc... essentially you just did a dyno run without the printout to benefit from the detail.
3 pulls with results will not hurt... JMO
My wife wants a GT Mustang to drive to Wal-mart! seriously! OMG LOL
You think? I was disappointed with the HP results on paper. Probably the true duals holding back the HP numbers?
You have a 96, right? Those are nice numbers for a 96, and you're happy with the way it rides. You might get a few more out of it with a different exhaust, but all that'll really be good for is bench racing.
You saw a 10% increase in power and torque from a tune. I think that's a win.

Those are NOT nice numbers from a CAMMED 96... a 96 WITHOUT a cam will put down over 70hp... so with a cam he should be well over 80 and close to 90..

If you say so. There are a lot of happy dyno sheets that are posted here. He's within 4 ft-lbs pf what FM's showing on their website for a 96 with a 222 and a 2:1:2. The horsepower's a little low.
I didn't look at his sig, you are correct, that should be a 85+HP 102 ft lbs torque or so motor. The torque number seems close to where it should be but every dyno is different as is every motor.

I have to agree. Looks like a good numbers with a good tune. Long stroke, low compression 96s are not power houses. More proof a proper dynotune will blow away a canned and/or "autotuned" map/tune. Enjoy!!
LOL, I read his numbers exactly the opposite, while not horrible, more proof a dyno does not always get you the best numbers. You'll get more out of one of Jamie's canned maps.
I apologize to the OP for hijacking his thread. I do appreciate everyone's thoughts and feedback on my recent dyno results.
A few things to consider. The bike performs night and day difference compared to after I added the cams. I would have been interested to see the results from what the stock numbers were.
I'll post up the dyno sheet tonight provided by the dyno. You'll see how the curve looks compared to the previous canned map I received. The canned map dropped off and was all choppy.
What's the best way to post up the dyno sheet? I see other guys do it?
