Sanman...the guy you used is the real deal from all that I have heard. I haven't heard of anyone more highly recommended in New England than that shop. As I said in my PM...the percentage increase you saw in HP and Torque is nothing to sneeze at. If you rode it home to RI with a grin, then he did his job!

I am hoping he can wake mine up that much when I take mine to him in a couple weeks....only my numbers will be lower than yours with my 96" and Stage 1.

A few things to consider. The bike performs night and day difference compared to after I added the cams. I would have been interested to see the results from what the stock numbers were.

I'll post up the dyno sheet tonight provided by the dyno. You'll see how the curve looks compared to the previous canned map I received. The canned map dropped off and was all choppy.

What's the best way to post up the dyno sheet? I see other guys do it?
I am actually just giving 05Train and Oldhippie a hard time because they are such worshipers of the dynamometer. Honestly I think you tune looks good. Bike runs well, smile and go. Really every dyno is a little different and every motor is a little different. You can not live by a dyno sheet as much as guys want to tell you that around here. It's how your bike runs going down the road that counts.

While every dyno is different and there will be variations for sure, I hate to say that 14hp variance is just too much of a variance for it to be strictly the dyno.... Id even just say its the dyno if it were say up to 10hp different. but over that I say something is amiss..

Yeah but it does not matter that much. Tuning a motor is a bit of an art, guys have different procedures they go through to get there. Then there is elevation, barometric pressure, air temp and all kinds of stuff that goes into the dyno readings. At sea level on a fifty degree day with no humidity you are going to make a bunch more power than at 2000 ft on a 90 degree day with 100% humidity. There are just so many variables involved in the whole process. Dyno's actually do vary quite a bit. Some machines consistently put out lower numbers and some put out higher numbers. I don't know enough about the machines themselves to say what the issue is but I do know they vary a lot. You can take the exact same bike and get different numbers from different dynamometers. Really the best you can say is on X day on X dynamometer I made X power. You just can't live by a dyno sheet.

I'm reading your signature. You have a 103" stage 1 pushing: 75hp & 95tq.

I have a smaller motor (96") but with my cams I'm pushing: 79.5hp & 100.7tq

I'll post my dyno sheet tonight and we can talk about it some more.

I am by no means hating... im on your side sir!

A Cammed 96 should be putting down bigger numbers than a stage 1 103... and while you are... you've got a +5 and +5 basically.... Ive seen so many cammed 96's closer to +15 +15

No not at all...I understand and I wasn't coming after you by any means. We're just talking here. Remember I was a little disappointed too. Expected more. Just trying to rationalize my numbers. Your signature provided some insight on my tune that's all.

Default Here's my dyno sheet

Looking for feedback. What do you guys think of the curve. And how does it look compared to the canned map?

Those look really good for a touring bike. Nice bottom end grunt. The curve is nice and smoothed after the tune. HP climbs at a nice steady rate as RPM rises. I like how your torque just goes bam at 2000 RPMs and stays high. Throttle should be really responsive.
