Default Light bulb numbers

What is the numbers of the headlight and passing lights for a 2010 Ultra Limited? Looking to replace my headlight and passing light bulbs for something brighter. Not wanting to drop $1000 on daymakers and don't like the pattern of the Trucklite. Just want something a tad bit brighter. Thanks in advance.

Took a bulb out of the passing lamps to see what they were. They are 881's. Anyone replaced them with anything brighter or better? I have read that they are a 27 watt bulb. Would it hurt to go to a 55 watt bulb? Thanks.

The 886 55 watt bulbs are what I have used on the last two bikes without a problem.

Just picked up 2 881's, (passing lights) yesterday at Pep Boys for half dealer cost. The bulbs are also in your owner's manual.

"The bulbs are also in your owner's manual."

Your manual must be different from mine, all I can find are the Harley part numbers, not the general nomenclature for the bulb type. To the one running the 55 watt passing lights, do they have the little shield in front of the filament painted inside the bulb? The unshielded bulbs seemed rather dazzling to drivers coming toward me when I tried them. The 37 watt versions are shielded but even those appeared to cook the silver off the reflector just above the bulb. I went back to the 27 watt bulbs because of that.

for the headlight i used a hella 55/100 watt, they also make a 65/100 and a 80/100.for the passing lamps u can get 35 or 55 watt,27 watt is stock i used a 35 and its very bright.u can also get them in different color temps, there is an older thread in here that listed all the #"s with the watts hours and temps.

OP please dont take offense ... but isnt this same exact question posted every day, sometimes several times a day on multiple boards here?

Wonder why mods dont collect the feedback and make a single sticky thread with all the options usually asked for in each of these threads.

Again nothing against you, OP ...

Why does it bother you? That is what these forums are for is to ask questions, learn and have different conversations about our love for riding motorcycles. When you put questions about same topics on here you get more answers/opinions. Someone may not see the post little Johnny put on here a month ago about a topic and not comment on it but he sees mine and leaves the info I may need. You know what they say, nobody forces anyone to read any topic. You can always just pass it on by.

Running a PIAA Xtreme White headlight bulb H4 (I think) and 35 watt #898 driving light bulbs. Its slightly better than stock. I've been hesitant to go to a higher wattage headlight bulb because of the amp draw and heat and Sylvania high output bulbs have not lasted for me in the past. I'm starting to see some H4 led bulbs advertised overseas with high lumen Cree LED's. When one of these comes out from a mainstream bulb supplier I may have to try one.
