Default Where can I get one?

I bought a used detachable backrest for an SG on ebay and also bought the docking kit from Harley. Neither came with this bar which is called "K" in the docking kit instructions. It says it should have come with theupright. Is that right? It is a long narrow bar which mounts to the docking bracket and then to a bolt by the shock. Can I get this from Harley? Did it come with your backrest? Does this thing just give the bracket support? Do you think I might have to manufacture one?

Hardly Dangerous,
My backrest came with the bar when it was put on by the dealer. I would assume they should have one or can order you one.
Good Luck!

Hardly Dangerous,

The bar in your pic came with the front docking kit for my road king's passenger back rest. I believe the part number of the kit I installed was 53803-06.

My docking kit came with that bar but a buddies docking kit didn't. Weird! I wouldn't pay for it though. If it's needed it should be included in the kit.

I bought the same docking kit 53803-06 and no bar. I ordered it from Zanotis. I will have to call them.

Did you ever get your bars? I got the docking kit and no bars, I beleive they come with the sissy bar upright, but do you really need them?

Default RE: Where can I get one?

I just bought one of those kits last week and mine came with one bar. I called the shop that I bought it from and they said that they had just done an install and were also missing the bars. The directions were really vague on how many the install used. The parts guy tried to look it up and was also having problems finding the correct number. He opened up a couple boxes and found that it was supposed to have two of those.
Somebody must have been snoozing during packaging those kits. They sent me out one right away, I was worried that they would not stock those.

The biggest problem that I ran into was one of those torx t-45's in your picture the one on upper left, was ran in cross threaded. Needless to say it did not come out and I had a very bad day getting that out of there. That day the H.D. was not my best friend!
