I can always tell when I cross back into my home state of Oklahoma. Stock shocks have been ok for us in Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri. Oklahoma should face criminal charges for it's road maintenance we have turnpikes that suck worse than 2 lane blacktop in any of the aforementioned states.
You haven't driven much around the Detroit or New Jersey area have you. LOL

Shocks are a planned upgrade just need to find the right deal.
In Oklahoma on I 40 they always move those dang drums from one side to the other and slow traffic to 1 lane but the road is always bad...I just laughed it off and swung down to Hi way 9 when going through.
Now all the trees leaning in the same direction, that got my attention.
We are going through the same problem here in South Carolina with bad roads.

I've heard Detroit isn't really a tourist kind of place to go, I'll probably pass on that. As far as New Jersey definitely won't happen, I tend to avoid spending time or money in states that refuse to honor my carry permit.
Happy shopping bro!! I was gonna get the shocks RollaMo has because I've found good and bad reviews of the HD ones and the Progressive ones....figure I'd just stick with HD. But now, I'm adding stretched bags and want air---so more reviews!!!!
check out Monroe/Gabriel DIY mod with Viair compressor. plenty of info on the web.
Just completed myself 2 weeks ago, and honest opinion is it is way better than stock airshocks and WAY cheaper than Arnott or other airrides.
Got 4.5" stretched bags and on roundabouts I almost hit them with the stock 12" SG airshocks (according Brother riding behind me). No I can push the rear up to above 13" and basically impossible to scrape them (I do not race my bike).
total cost was around 250 for me (including pressure gauge, dead switch and CVO switch in fairing... I thought I try it and if I did not like it, I would sell off the parts... not going to happen as I love it.
will spring shock be better? 99% sure yes, but I like the price and the "cool" factor to drop the bike in the P lot....
I spoke with Olins and Progressive. Progressive for the 944 touring shock has a lifetime warranty and was very helpful. Olins only went to a 2008 on the website but he said they have them for my bike. I like the look of the Olins better though but Olins is more money. I don't care about the price cuz I was willing to go to $1500 on shocks. So do i get the Olins r the Progressive?
does anyone have these shocks? http://www.progressivesuspension.com...servoir-shocks
Never mind I think I'm going with Olins. Is there any place I can order them online? I need to order them now.
