I put mine on this year and have had zero issues with the ride. After a very cold hard winter the roads here in Maine are terrible and I am loving this new and improved front end.
I'm actually kinda surprised at the responses from folks not liking them, they seemed pretty universally loved overall while reading reviews during my research.
That was why I took the chance on them....Other than the initial reports of them clunking inside the tubes, everyone seemed to love them.
I'll have a full-height set for sale in about a week if anyone's interested.
I've had both the standard height and the lowered monotubes. I have no complaints what so ever. The monotubes preform well for me. No unusual noises, less brake dive under hard braking. I also have Progressive 444's on the rear. The monotubes have preformed well when the bike was a Street Glide and now that it's a Road Glide. With the lowered monotubes, I don't think I'd do more than a 1" drop, as from what I've read that's where the complaints start. To me, for the money the monotubes are a nice addition to the bike.
Have you tried different oils & weights? There was noticeably improvement when I changed fork oil over to Amsoil Shock Therapy #10.
Nope. According to Progressive the oil's only there to lubricate the cartridge. I have 10wt. Spectro in there, and there's no way that's to blame for the jarring ride.

Sorry I wasn't real clear I meant oil change on stock front end suspension.

I think he was directing that to the OP.... and if he was, that is something to try. Like I said earlier, I'm running a 50/50 mix of stock fork oil and Screaming Eagle fork oil. Way better than stock. Better damping, and reduced dive.
Had these for about 2500 miles so far this season and to be honest I had forgotten about them. In other words the front end is neutral and no longer causes me issues such as wobbly soft and massive dive under braking - love'em
