I've have monotubes in my ElectraGlide. Got the Progressive rear shocks first and liked the difference. Had a very experienced mechanic install the mono's so I don't know about clips. Had them for years on Michigan **** roads. Do most my riding 2 up. Smooths the ride and tightens the bike in corners.

I'm curious about weight. I have the 1 inch lower mono's in my '10 RK and don't like the jarring ride at all. As everyone says they do stop the front end dive but I cringe when I see a pot hole or other road imperfection. FWIW I weigh 215 and have Streetglide rear shocks set at 12 lbs. but am going to order Ohlins this week.

I have monotube with one clip in front and 944's standard springs in the rear. I love the ride, very smooth and no brake dive. Money well spent.

I just got the monotubes installed yesterday. After taking a quick ride with them, my initial assessment that it is a firmer ride, in which I like. The cornering seems crisper and it handles way better than stock. Time will tell, if I still like them, but so far, it seems to be a good purchase...
