I documented my Hayden install on this forum with pictures. I tried to give it a fair chance on my 2010 Ltd and I did for a few thousand miles. But folks it makes the chains on these newer bikes just too damn tight. I purchased the Baker Attitude Adjuster from Baker Drivetrain and sold the Hayden on Ebay. Really like the Baker, heavy duty built, and tight chain worries are a thing of the past. It cost me $211 delivered from Baker.

Default I spoke with Baker and Barnett today...

I called Baker regarding this tensioner for my 2011 FLHTK touring Electra Glide Limited to see if he had the clutches, Gasket Kit for my Bike. As of now, they do not have the clutches.

Anyway, I was ready to order the Attitude by Baker but being I need a clutch replacement at 35,000 miles driving on hills like the Rocky Mountains, I called Barnett for replacement clutches. I was undecided whether or not to go with Carbon Fiber or Kevlar both with an extra clutch. The guy at Barnett said Carbon Fiber has a better grip and go with those. Ok so I asked him about the Baker Attitude Tensioner, being they don't sell tensioners I figured I'd get a honest answer about this product. He told me to go with a SE tensioner because the Baker Attitude Tensioners Break... IDK, now I'm totally confused in what to buy as replacement parts for my bike.
I've read that Barnett Clutches have good reviews, but now Idk about this tensioner.
Anyone have any issues with the Baker Primary Tensioner? And are the Barnett Carbon Fiber Clutches any good.

Can't rely on reviews anymore and thought I'd share that comment from the service guy at Barnett
Thanks-

How long do you expect to keep your bike ?
I live in the Alps and never had clutch issues before 60,000 miles of commuting. City driving wore my clutches, never mountain or open roads. When you race it's a different story.

I see you are going to post the Barnett story everywhere you can, so I will take the time to reply to all of them. We have a 99% success rate with our adjuster between the ones sold and the ones returned. Nothing is full proof or perfect but I can guaranty you the few that have failed have been replaced whether it was the fault of the part or the installer. As always we stand behind our products and will always be here to help.

In my personal experience with hd tensioners Ive had no issues. The stock tensioner held up fine with 134 hp 120r for 30000 miles and it already had 15000 on it with various engine combinations. I am currently running the stock tensioner in my 124 engine producing 146 hp. The bike has 12000 miles on it. I see no need to upgrade the factory tensioner.

Holy ****....Maybe the stock one works just fine...I'm sure the Baker works great. It's design is simple and they know how to build robust stuff. But this might be a solution to something that just isn't really a problem....Just thrown' it out there...

I had a Hayden but had to take it out on my 11 King, chain was way to tight with it. I did call Hayden, at first they seemed to care, but in time they just gave up on me.
I think Hayden had a good idea but the shoe needs to be longer with double the up and down movement with softer springs.
As of now I'm ok with the stock adjuster.
