Default Ape install nightmare, help needed!

Installed a set of 10 inch 578's on a buddy's bike this afternoon. Used NAMZ extensions, didn't cut or splice anything. Now, the cruise light flashes and we have no throttle response. 14 SGS. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks. I am also posting this on the Rushmore page.

Had a similar problem when I did new bars on my '13 RGU. I swore up and down I had everything wired correctly. Guess what, I didn't. Go back and check the wires on your Modex connectors and make sure you have the corresponding color on each side of the plug. If you do the next thing to check is the connectors themselves. They are easy to damage when inserting the pin/paperclip/etc to disconnect the wires from the connectors and once damaged you don't get a solid connection and need to replace the connectors.

One other thing. Did you replace the stock TBW and green connector. Very easy to damage when pulling wires. Ended up buying a new SE TBW for mine.

Perhaps the TBW connection separated? When I did my 12" Vindikta's I had to superglue the connector because it kept pulling apart.

That's what I thought at first. Took them back apart and the green connector was not connected. Put everything back together, making sure the connection was good. Same problem. I am lost.

How long have you been at it? Walk away and go back to it tomorrow.

If I had to bet...the issue is at the molex connection...

I had problems with the NAMZ extensions.I ended up just extending the wires and soldering the connection, has been on bike 10k miles now with no problems.

For me I had the exact same issue and it was the TBW connector coming apart in the bars. Superglue sounds like a great idea to eliminate that issue then work with the namz connections next. My bet is the TBW though.
