When I was putting the bikes to rest for the winter and doing the fall oil changes I decided that I was going to go with Amsoil instead of HD Syn3 after hearing nothing but good things about Amsoil. So after a long winter and some mods and accessories added it was time to start them up and ride.I wanted to take my wifes bikes (06 Streetglide)for a test ride before I let her ride because I did some work and wanted to make sure everything was cool.As I was riding I noticed a vibration but everything else was fine let her take a ride and she said it was not there before.I proceeded to ride my bike it also had a vibration but not as bad.My wife did notice that after the bike warmed up it was gone checked everything and could not figure it out dealer said it could be the tires that were out of round and that after they warmed up they fixed themselves. So after some debate decided to try changing fluids and see if any difference.Guess what ?.Vibrations totally gone can't figure this out but I am sticking with HD product. This does not seem to make any sence to me just wondering if anybody has heard of this or may know what may cause this.
Not to get a swarm of bee's on me but I tried Mobil 1 in all and got the same vibration when cold, went back to HD fliuds, and no more vibrations... Runs great, almost due for the 5000 mile service... Will stick with HD...
Don't think you will get a whole lot of support for HD oil being better than Amsoil. IMO the effects of the change were coincedental and stem from other factors, ie tires.
Yep, maybe I had my cell phone on vibrate... Or maybe it was a slight seismic vibration inTexas, Or a heard O' Bulls running few chow.. Or a low flying jet with really good mufflers... Or maybe I was abducted bu aliens and brought back at the same time and there was a vibration in the time machine... Maybe it was them beans I ate night before...
Shoot, who knows... I do know this, It's under warranty fer 5 years... And Murphy will take care of the bad stuff...
