On my 2014 SG I use a portable XM radio I got off ebay for less then $50. I don't change channels that much so I keep it in the dash where the cell phone goes. I drilled a small hole in the back and ran a plug for a fm transmitter which works really good with my hidden antenna. Best of all I use the same XM radio in ma car and shop.
How does the unit hold up to vibration, rain and visibility(day n nite)? Thanks for reply in advance.
Vibration=No Problems
Visibility=I can see easily day or night.
Rain=It's not made to be out in the weather so I put a ziploc bag over it for light rain. If it starts raining too hard I unplug the craddle and put it in the saddlebag.
Wanting XM Radio on my 2014 Limited and the XM module is $399! Anyone know of an aftermarket module or a cheaper way around this? I personally think it should have came standard on the Limited since the radio is set up for XM.
I get Sirius/XM on my iPhone which is included in my package, cable to radio and you list for free (plus data rates), just download the app. I am sure you could get a free trial and see how you like it.
