I am 6' 1" and had the Road Glide Stock seat and stock windshield on my 06. Would almost loose my glasses while riding from the buffeting. Put on the Tall windshield from Harleyand the Electra Glide comfort stitch seat because I want a long ride unit in this bike. Have slightly less buffeting but really am looking to get ride of it all. Have looked at Clearview for a possible solution. Even considered something to break up lower air flow. Any suggestions and product experience appreciated. Thanks, Steve [sm=smiley16.gif]
I don't have any experience with Road Glide's, but I have had severe wind buffeting on other rides and some of it could be attributed to leg position. Different seats heights, highway pegs, or lowers/fork deflectors could help you.
I have a 06 RG and changed out thestock shield for one made by CeeBaileys and their great. I have a14" I use almost at all times, but change out to their18" for long rides. I'm 5'10" and the 14" works perfect for me, no buffeting even at high speeds.
I was getting some buffeting on my helmet with the stock windshield on an 07 Road Glide. I am 5' 10".
Put the taller HD windshield on and now have no buffeting at all. Of course I am now looking through the windshield, a couple of inches below the top, which makes riding in the rain interesting!
Bought my RG with the shorter windshield.Lots of wind over the top. Buddy of mine hooked me up with the original 03 windshield, really took care of the buffeting.
I'm only 5' 10" but I've got nothing for legs all uper body so I think it's how high you sit not how tall you are.

I have been reading and dealing with buffeting on my 05 Road Glide for a couple of years. Strange how some people don't have any buffeting and others say they can hardly stand it. I could hardly stand it. I'm 5'10" with a solo corbin touring seat. I borrowed a tall HD windshield from the dealer 1st, didn't like the back pressure or looking through the shield. Next I ordered a Clearview "regular" height, it was a little lower than stock and did not take care of the buffeting. Next I ordered a Clearview "large", much better, much much better. I have to look through the shield, but with the quality of the Clearview it's OK. Still not "perfectly" satisfied, I ordered RG lower fairings, now this was the ride I craved! BUT....it's too damn hot...had to take them off to get through July and August. I'm about to buy some RJ heat shields to see if that helps. Darn shame the RG is such a good bike cause this has been a lot of trouble. Hope I can save others some time.
I just put a Clearview 14" with the recurve. It is much, muchbetter. I think if I still had the stock seat, it would be perfect. The Mustang sits me up a little higher, so I probably could have gone with the 16". Stock on the 02 was 12".
ITS A MOTORCYCLE!!! The Roadie is the first bike I owned and rode more than a few miles. I have since demoed several HD and Buells. Try ridin a V-rod with a half helmet and cheap sunglasses!

Right, if you don't want buffeting, go drive your truck, van, sedan, saloon, or whatever!!!! Holy Mackerel, your riding a motorbike. Jeez.
