You will also see a drop in fuel mileage and tend to run the engine at higher rpms right? Went the other direction on my old EVO as I was always reaching for 6th gear that wasn't there.
What are the benefits of a 30 tooth vs. stock? If I take off kinda hard my rear tire lights up (new Metzler 888). Would that help?
It would make it worse giving you MORE low end torque. Metzler's are nice but notoriously slick. Went to Dunlop touring tire for better traction and am pleased on my 07 Road King.

I saw an increase on the 2010 limited. Picked up a solid 2 mpg. I would cruise in 6th gear down to 50 with no problem. It also accelerated much easier and didn't stay in lower gears as long. While running at interstate speed it just seemed in less strain so the mileage improved. About the only time I ran in fifth was in town below 50. My 14 is doing pretty good without it and has much better 6th gear performance. I will eventually do cams and if needed I won't hesitate to do the 30 tooth. Made the bike so much easier to ride. You could let out on the clutch without even giving any throttle and it would take off. It also has a PV with a refined tune on it.
What cams are you planning to run in your 2014 limited? I also have a 2014 Limited & I'm thinking of using the SE 204. (To keep the warranty longer). Have 4" Rinehart's on stock header w/ cat. in on now. Not sure on a turner but like the V & H Fuelpak FP3. May change the header pipe out later but not sure on which one yet. No air cleaner on either. Not sure which one to use?
