didnt there used to be a patch the dealer could down load to remedy this? I used to just cycle the ignition off and on 5 times to reset throttle position to zero.
the 08s broke me from using the engine shut off switch to kill the engine.

I don't know what it idles at. I know it high I'll have to find out. I always shut it off at the dash and never the kill switch on the housing unit. Could that have anything to do?

I doubt it. I never use the off/run switch either. Just the ignition switch on the console. Too many guys I've seen use the thumb switch and then forget to shut off the ignition....come back to the bike and deadsville.

Does it idle "high" all the time or just when cold? Supposed to idle higher at lower enging temps.

to find what you're idling at, check the display on your fuelpak. if you have the digital one, mode 22 shows you what you are idling at (roughly) a "9" signifies you are idling in the 900 range, "10" 1000rpm, etc. gives you a starting point at least

is that with the switch in the RUN position or OFF?
