I purchased a used unit with a map that was tuned on a dyno, plug and play and the bike runs fine. Question should I use the CD to download a map specific for my bike? This was tuned for a 2012 RG, I have a 2012 SG.
Also the Instructions advises to unplug 02 sensors, has anyone done this? and Is that really necessary to get optimum performance? Thanks

RG vs. SG doesn't matter, but the Full Exhaust vs. Slipons, mind you all of these are brand specific and tuned that way. Even Screaming Eagle AC vs lets say an Arlen Ness Big Sucker. So, there may be more variables where a better map may suit you.
The power commander 5 doesn't use the O2 sensors, if you leave them plugged in they will conflict with what the PC 5 is trying to do. If it's running good, leave it. But it can't hurt to see if there is a better map out there for you. Download the map file from Dyno Jet's web site, not the CD. You can get the latest software at the same time that you need to install and adjust the maps for free. The CD you have is nearly worthless.
