Burley makes full kits with all parts needed to do install just buy a Harley service manual. If you have mechanical experience you should be able to do it yourself. Not that hard of install but I'm a mechanic.

sounds about right, I know I did my own and it is time consuming so with labor rates being what they are it gets expensive quick.

I did mine on my 12 Roadking and found it doable after getting a 600 dollar quote.
I had to splice and solder wiring etc. and it took me 5-6 hours to do. There are quite a few wires we are dealing with.
Anyway mission accomplished here! You'd better be fairly patient to screw with all those wires but other than that it wasn't horrible.
The mechanical stuff is the quick part .Staggering all those wire additions to get them through the bars was the tricky part. Use dish washing soap to lube them up.

On my todo list after getting a $1800 quote from the dealer. I am not all that confident in doing my but have some gear hears in the neighborhood. $1800 vs. a case of miller and some of my smoked pork tenderloins I'll take the latter.

Cost $375 for my 13" cyclesmiths and cables and wiring..... 12 hours of my own time, and about $15 in trans fluid and new gasket.

Too easy!

I used the stock cable. Bleed the brakes before you turn the key or anything.

As for the bars, Do them yourself and take your time. It's worth the money saved to me and I learned a lot about the bike.

You can save yourself a lot if time and headache buying your bars prewired. My buddy bought his prewired bars from hill country, I think, for about $575.

Same bars on my FLHRC cost about $1200 from the dealer. I had a lot going on and didn't have the time...but I did have chrome cash. Finally a credit card paid me.

The quotes for dealer install some of you guys are getting is nuts! My local dealer installed yaffe monkey bars for me, along with cables and wiring, for $350 labor. That included pickup and delivery of the bike. It took them less than 4hrs to do the install. My total OTD was under $900. For me, it was worth it.
