Top shock bolts loose

Default Top shock bolts loose
Recently installed a set of JRI-B's 13" on my 09 Street Glide. I've put about 250 miles on them so far.

I pulled the bags yesterday to do some adjusting of the sweep valves and I noticed both upper shock bolts are loose. I see when I installed them I didn't use loctite or the lock washers. I rectified both issues and torqued to 40 ftlbs.

Anything else I'm missing?

Nope, sounds like you've got it.

You did use a straight-edge to make sure the upper and lower mounting points were in the same plane, correct?

Yeah....I only had to shim the top one on the clutch side.
