Default flash2pass problem

installed this system and it worked properly for a few weeks, then it started not closing the door from the button on the wall or from the car garage opener. when i push the button it will start down and at some point just stop and reopen then i have to hold the button till it closes. its getting really annoying! i bought a 9v 300mA charger and it made it worse. anyone else have an issue like this?

Never had a problem with mine, had it 2 years. I don't understand the 9v 300mA charger. What's that for?

Check your door springs and tension, sound like you might have one side that broke or is getting weak. Or your safety light along the bottom got bumped or needs cleaned.

Have you disconnected the Flash 2 Pass and confirmed the garage opener goes back to working normally?

Get your manual, sounds like your down force needs to be adjusted. Only turn it about 1/4 of a turn at a time and try.

Have it for over 5 years on 2 bikes works flawlessly may be try reprogramming from step one and also like mentioned before the springs has to do a lot with opening and closing force.

And here I thought you added a button to flash you headlights to try and get people to move over so you can pass! BMW bikes have that. Of course that doesn't work in the US because everyone wants to drive in the left lane and not let people pass!

Mine worked great for over 2 years. Every spring I had to reset it and then a couple of times throughout the summer. I had big problems with it in the beginning and had to purchase the power supply which seemed to solve my problems. Last fall it stopped working altogether. Gave up on it altogether went back to the remote. Suspect the sending unit was NFG. Nice when it worked but couldn't rely on it.

thanks for the advice guys, i put the original wall unit back on and the problem was still there, looked at the sensors and found the wires barely twisted together. i cut the ends and jellybeaned them together and works great now!
