This is for my friend, He has a fully custom '12 SG. He put 9* rake in the neck and another 9* in the trees and is running a 26" wheel. yesterday he hit a speed bump at low speed and the front end wobbled. it rides great at 65 mph but the inconsistent low speed wobble is obviously a problem. doesn't do it every time. Anyone know what this can be???
Probably the 9* + 9* and a 26" wheel. Unless someone tested and validated the geometry or trigonometry, who knows how that combination works or what it takes to correct an issue.
I am guessing that the 9 + 9 increase was to get the large wheel clearance at the frame down tubes. Anyone's guess, unless tested, how it affects stability and handling through all speeds and situations.
Might be as simple as a steering neck bearing adjustment or might be as complex as trying different degrees of angle for those that have been modified + or - in either direction. Good Luck.
