I decided to try and find a garmin zumo 550 so i could check it out. I've been looking for dealers but cant find one here in pensacola Fl. Is there a dealer locater i dont know about for Garmin ??? Thought most electronic stores would have it. WRONG !
Don't know about the one you want, but I bought my Garmin 330 from Walmart, was $50 cheaper than Circuit City. But whe I called Walmart, asking ahead, the salesman at the one here said they didn't carry it. I went looking for a new flashlight and there they were, right in the glass counter. Either he didn't know they had 'em or was too lazy to go and look. Anyway, I bought it and love it. Worked right out of the box. I carry a baggy because I'm afraid rain might mess it up.
I called Garmin last week looking for a dealer in Michigan that stocked the 550. They could not find any. Best Buy or Circuit city will order one for you but if you open it and return it there is a 15% restocking fee. They also told me if you purchase one from eBay they will not honor the warranty. It would have to be a actual online Garmin dealer. I find it hard to believe they want you to purchase one without seeing it first.
If you buy it at aWalmart, ask up front about warranty.Friend bought one and had a problem with it and Garmin's first question was where was it bought?Had to get a lawyer involved to get it fixed.
Try Costco online. Great prices and if you don't like it you can return it at one of their stores. I returned one and didn't get any hassle. Good luck.
Thats a great site if you live outside NY but in NY you still pay tax so I use another site, there's one in AZ and one in NJ the one in AZ was 12 dollars cheaper and charged shipping no tax. the one in NJ charged no shipping came out cheaper and it was factory and came with all parts and I use it in car and bike as it came with both mounts but I went to Ram mount and got chrome for the bike.
