I have used 0000 steel wool for 30 years on my chrome, keep WET with Windex, never caused a scratch. If windex doesn't cut it, brake cleaner will, then I follow up with windex, then windex and a paper towel, then chrome polish.
Well, I have some news. First, the oven cleaner looks like it will work. The first soaking got most of it off. I won't have time for a second soaking until later in the week but I think it will get the rest of it. It doesn't really break it down but loosens its grip and allows it to wipe off. The **** looks like burnt oil.
Secondly, I can't use the .22 because I live in the city limits of my town and I have neighbors all around me. If I could, trust me, he would be gone by now. I set out a live trap with a can of sardines and I walked out the door this morning and got in the car and the damn cat is standing next to the trap eyeballing me. I hope he is good and hungry and decides to have a meal while I am at work. Now I'm wondering if he sprayed it again. I have to check it out good before I crank it up.

Rule of thumb........take the cat ten miles minimum or it will return......or outside of town then introduce him to Mr. Glock!

I have a 43 mile drive to work through the middle of nowhere. He will be at least 30 miles away. I will pardon his execution and let him think about his crimes and why he is in his new surroundings. Maybe he will run into the 2 or 3 others that have been relocated out there as well.

I had to trap some Chipmunks a couple years ago and my kids wanted to make sure I didn't kill them.........I did the same thing dropped them off in a corn filed so the Hawks could have their shot.....I would tell the kids when I got home I didn't kill them I just moved them to a worse neighborhood
Cats are extremely nasty animals when it comes to **** and spraying to mark territory. That is some seriously pungent wiz right there. Good luck getting the stain off, hope its not permanent.
