Early 2000 Fuel Pump
Has anyone replace their fuel pump on an early 2000's Touring? Guy at work has a 2001 that when he turns on the key the pump is now barely audible, sluggish is the term he used. He was looking for an aftermarket alternative as Harley wants $400 for theirs.

Has he change his fuel filter yet? They get a bit dirty after 30,000 miles. 61959-00 is the filter part number. They are about $100 list. The pump is 61744-00A, and list is $320.95.

You can get an aftermarket pump on eBay for about $35. I used one and it works great. Check the in tank supply line for leaks.
Fuel filter is only available from a HD dealer. I looked for an alternative and couldn't find one.
