I mounted mine on my mirror, it makes it easy to see, reach and control, gives a great view with a little bit of fairing to give perspective of lean angles, and if you would happen to get pulled over you can quickly remove it and turn it around and record the entire stop. Just saying
I use a 4" RAM mount on my handlebars. I angle it forward a bit and it brings the GoPro even with the windshield. I have it on the throttle side and with it just to the right of the windshield my videos do not have any obstruction from the windshield or fairing.
