My Dyna yes, it seems I did nothing but modify it from one up slammed bobber to plain jane standard to two up tourer and several phases in between.I don't think it took much away from riding it except when it was apart. My limited, I pick my mods very carefully mostly stuff to make it more comfortable and easier to take care of.It's my daily driver and I can't be worried about leaving it parked somewhere. It's got an alarm,Bruckus saddle bag secure and I lock it up can't do much more than that.

I've been to that same Costco kryingame, and yeah, it's not in the greatest of neighborhoods. Even the more upscale Southpark down the street, you have the same scumbag thieves.

I've stopped worrying about my ride six months after I bought it with all the bling I had installed. I bought some Brukus stuff and a disc lock for good measure, so I've done all I can on my end. My ride or any accessories has not walked away yet.

No. I bought the bike to ride, not to mod. I have done some minimal things for performance (Stage 1) and a number of things for comfort and convenience on long rides. Most things on my bike are quick release and I do nothing to secure them. I've ridden from Maine to Georgia and parked it in all kinds of supposedly high risk places, including downtown Boston, NYC and DC and no one has ever messed with anything on the bike.

Last month, I bought a tour pak. Went to Costo's. Someone stole a bolt from my 4 point docking kit. Those bolts don't just come off because it was torqued on. Someone stole it.

I bought an amazing sound system (check out my sig.) but I worry about rain and thieves (worrying about if I left the face plate on when I parked somewhere). Worrying about will my tourpak disappear. A friend of mine had a nice, overly modded RK. She was down in Myrtle Beach and saw 2 thugs stealing it. Another friend who had a nice modded bike had someone key and knock it over. Another friend, rode his Suzuki M109 down to Florida. Parked in some motel. The next morning, the bike was gone.

I was talking to an older buddy who rides, he made a good point. We the younger generation focus more on how the bike looks over riding. I'm wondering if adding all of the cool features and detachable stuff is making our bikes more vulnerable. I gotta tell you, it's a disgusting feeling, seeing your bike and knowing that someone stole something off of it.
Our securing products are very reasonable to give you peace of mind and allow you to enjoy riding your bike without worrying about having stuff stolen. Plus we are offering $3 flat rate shipping and the HDForum discount link is in my signature to all our products.

This is an interesting post with a lot of responses. My 2 cents, BLUF no I don't. What you can do to ease any anxiety put a cover on it and have good insurance.

I agree.. I think you are too worried and are going to give yourself ulcers over some scumbag possibly attempting to steal something. I also agree that I think it loosened up on its own and was lost. Just my .02
