I have a set of native custom brackets that I did not use, if you are interested, I will sell them at half price plus shipping. PMme if you are interested in them.
Rob, did you move your fender at all?
Yep, just the back of it up a little to get the wheel to have a little more clearence, it was very tight .230" with the fender moved up in the rear with the slop in the holes. I took it on the e-way at 90 mph brought it home and removed the fender and it was just barely hitting, so I elongated the rear holes a little to add a little room. I will re test when it warms up I was originally going to go with some chromed 16" wheels when I bought the kit, but changed my mind. They should work fine with the 18"'s your looking at. Let me know.

That's a very good price. If I had to just lower the fender I would go with Native Customs. I had to replace the whole fender due to some damage it sustained when someone backed into my bike while it was parked. I also checked out Klockwerks who have a similar program as Native Customs but it was going to cost me around $500 to paint after the fabrication.

I haven't seen my bike yet with the new fender it's in the shop also waiting on my wheels which are being powder coated.

The brackets are on ebay regularly as well as fenders that are already lowered.

I've decided on going with 18's both front and rear and wondered how you guys that have lowered or know someone that did lower their front fender to give it that "big wheel" look, how was it done?[sm=ummmmokay.gif] I've examined the setup on my bike and would like some input.

Dremmel the holes........whaaaaaaaaaat?

This is getting better! Native Customs is calling me back with something they have that is new coming out. I'll post what I find out.

Brad, post a link or give me some direction on where to look on e-bay, I'll start digging around.

I also used the native custom brackets but I just ground down the rivets from the inside, becareful not to get them to hot. Then clamped the fend to the brackets on the bike, marked the holes, drilled them and used chrome allen screws with blue locktite and bolted the on. Looks good. If I had the extra money to have thempainted I would have welded them on but the chrome allen screws dont look that bad.
I'm half tempted to go this route. If I jack it up, there is a paint and body shop 500ft. from my house.

Native Baggers and myself are playing phone tag, but if I do get the bracket, I'd like to get it from ya Rob.

Thnks hillbilly for the link and all for the replies and feedback. Next week is going to be a busy week with installation of lowered shocks, wheels and now a possible fender project lurking in the wings.[&:]
