It's well worth running both IMHO. They support the front and rear rubber mounts, reducing stress on them, so they should (could?!) last longer.

Fork Tree Clamps and they have a front fork steering dampener
I've never understood why anyone would need a steering damper on a Harley touring bike. Please explain.

I bought a 2005 Road Glide a month ago and it has that front mount on it. The original owner didn't mention it that I remember. I just thought it was stock.

Your bike does have a stock stabilizer, it is the addition of a rear one that your bike would benefit from. Only bikes from 2009 and on, which have a different set-up to your bike, will benefit from a True-Track front stabilizer. They do make a rear one for your bike! Original and best......

So this would be an improvement over the OEM one that came on my Rushmore bike ?

For the front. go to a solid heim joint type link, the stock ones flex too much..

BTW, Front is more important than the rear. Especially if you don't carry a lot of load in the bags. Load in the bags and the rear becomes more important.

The set-up on your Rushmore is different to earlier bikes like the 2005 referred to above. Your bike has a front stabiliser secured to the front cylinder head. The add-on stabilisers by firms like True-Track sit down lower, to support the front rubber engine mounts. They also do a rear stabiliser to support the rear rubber mounts.

Yes, I have been running a front and rear True Track for close to four years now. If you want to get the real story not just an opinion like mine, you need to call True Track. They are a mom and pop outfit that will answer all your questions.

Anyone else have experience with Front Stabilizer? I have a rear along with some progressive 944’s. I’m thinking of upgrading up front now. Monotubes and a True Trak up front should really lock my bike down.

New frame is great just trying to keep up with those damn BMW’s without the bike walking around on me.

Default Ordered and waiting

I have a front only on order for 17’ Street Glide Special. As soon as it’s on and I get a couple rides in I will post the results. I find that on longer highway curves (approximately 1/2 mile 90 degree) around 90-100 I start to get the wobble. At that point I usually have to let off for a second, then make sure there is constant acceleration to minimize the wobble.

For or those who didn’t see at the top of the website there is an installation link for the different models. Looks pretty easy but I still defer to my master tech. The bags each have 10” woofers with 6 x 9’s and chopped pack always has minimal weight.
