Hey guys, just picked up this SG last week. Not sure what brand the windshield is, however it's short 4" or so, and has some curves in it. I bought some bags and they don't seem to fit? Do these not fit shorty windshields?
If it's a recurve style then no. At least for the 14's, the windshield needs to be a 10" Wind Splitter (or similar) in order for the windshield bags to mount up correctly and sit flush. Flat windshields should be a non-issue.
Stock SG windshield up to 2013 is a 4 inch dark smoke. The 2014 is a 5 inch.
If the short windshield you have has an inward curve on the sides like a Klockwerk's, then basically no 3 bag system will fit it correctly due to the interference of the windshield.
If you want to keep the bags & keep a short windshield, then you need to change out the windshield to one that has straight sides but with a re-curve at the top... Like our 6 inch Aero Windshield.
If you like the Klockwerks type design & want bags, you'll have to go up to a 8 inch model... I think 8 is correct.
Unless you want to use a single bag w/ your current windshield, you'll have to live without the bags or buy a different windshield.
Others here may know of a bag set that will work ........
