Ok, I just got finished with a week long 2,500 mile ride. I noticed at the very end of the ride that when I pull the front brake lever in, it is making a clunk feeling that I can feel throughout the bike. Not a lot of sound associated with it, just a clunk feel. The brakes still work. Bike is a 2014 Limited. It only clunks the one time but does it almost every time I pull the lever in. Anyone else experience this?
A clunk suggests something is loose, to my simple brain, so check things like caliper mounting bolts, wheel axle clamps, also head bearings. If you can't solve it, visit your dealer!
I've noticed the same thing when backing the bike in after running around. Also does it going forward while pushing it out of garage. I talked to dealer, of course they said it was normal, they will check it out next week when the 1K service is done.
I have floating rotors and it has done it for 6,000 miles...was told it's normal. I only hear it when pushing my bike around the garage and mashing front break. I did this to two of my buddies bikes who have floating rotors and theirs did the same thing.
I'm not sure if it's really normal, but I've had HD and my Indie say it was

Well, I dropped it off today. The tech rode it briefly trying to produce the clunking with no luck. I told him to take it for a longer ride and he wasn't crazy about it but he did. It was 88 degrees and 100% humidity. After about a 15 minute ride he brought it back, rolled it into the shop and said "yeah I'll hold onto it for a few days". He said it's definitely not normal but doesn't think it's the brakes. He thinks that due to using the front brake which shifts weight differently, it's causing that clunking. He's not sure if it's the motor mounts or forks yet but he's gonna go over the whole bike
