Default Lost throttle today

On the way home from a ride around 2 miles from my house I lost the throttle(I have a 2009 street glide) I managed to get home with it in idle, but did in fact have a tiny bit of throttle(going full on throttle it gave me about 300 rpm's) I got home and shut her down for a bit. when I started it back up I had throttle again...... no idea why, any clues? I didn't check the codes yet as I had a ton of **** to do...........

Check codes, clean the contacts on the plug behind air cleaner, may have to change the contacts too per the service bulletin.

Over heating can cause the bike to limit rpms to 3000. After it cools down, should be good to go again. But, I would try to find out why it over heated...

Just had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago, The plug to the throttle body has pins that get messed up dealer has replacement pins that seem to fix this problem. Like $6.00 Good luck.

it's called Limp mode ... there should be code... you are not the first... probably nothing to do with overheating.

Chances are you are having the problem described in HD's TT418A document. Do a google search on TT418A. Lots of posts in "hdforums" related to this problem and some fixes as well.
