Well...after reading all the good posts regarding the HogTunes speakers, I ordered all four for my Ultra. I hadn't taken a fairing off abike since I crashed my '79 FLH Shovel Head back in '84. Its REALLY a piece of cake -- seven T-25 Torx, unplug the headlight, and its off in 5 minutes tops. Definitely you want to cover the spot lights with something so that you don'tmuff the fairing paint.
The speakers match up perfectly to the OEM junk (oops...I mean speakers). The rear speakers are lickity split to change out. I didn't do the Ultrasound amp, but the new speakers are surely worth the money by themselves. They are a touch louder than the stock units, and the range is much more full, especially on the lower end.
The whole job took me less than an hour, and I'm sure that if I did it all over again it would take less time than that.
Yeah...I'm anxious to give them a try on the highway, but its been in the twenties for highs around here the past few days. I think I'll wait until it gets above 30, and there's no ice on the road.
