I've used mine for a while, but now I'm finding myself just using my toe to shift all the time. I think I'm going to remove the heel shifter and see how I like it.
Well this is part of my whole issue of moving over to floorboards, If I am just cruising along i will use it on occasion but if I am hammering the gears or in a turn I wont use it, throws me off balance to move my foot. I leave mine on but really dont use it all that much, there are times when i pop a foot off the highway peg and just tap the heel shiffter tho. I just like pegs, when i have a peg then the shifter never moves on me, with floorboards i never know where the damn thing got off to, lol. Still considering doign the floorboard eliminater kit.

give it time.... i can have my feet anywhere and hit the shift without thinking....if people give it some time...it is really nice.
I've used the heel shifter for years and would be lost without one. I think you get much more positive up shifts with it although the new trannies are buttery smooth.
You'd think Harley would stop installing 'em as original equipment and sell them as an accessory for say....100 bucks!
Thought about removing cause a lot of others dont like. Gettin use to it, especially when feet on hwy pegs cause can kick leg back to shift and swing leg back on hwy peg(lazyness). Does sort of unbalanced with feet on boards. Im in a boul of water,,im in a bowl of water,,im in a bowl of water,
