Hog Tunes
I have the Harley Boom High Performance fairing speakers. The stock speakers were not worth a darn. I popped in the Boom speakers and the sound cleaned up a lot. I can increase the volume more before it starts to distort.
Doing only speakers wasn't very costly and they sound so much better then stock. I'm trying to decide if I really want to spend more money chasing volume now. I too have only one working ear and the other isn't that good. Better sound just maybe lost on me.

you should have change the speakers while you were in there... low cost for improvement over the stock. once you hear what new speakers sound like then if the bug bites, you can go wild or live with better sounding tunes just with the speakers.
I also have some Hogtunes speakers for sale! You can do a lot better. They're more like a 1st upgrade until you realize you can do better! Not bad at 40 mph. At 70 to 75, you might as well turn it off. I have 6 JL Audios on mine now, with a JL amp in the tourpak, but if I ever do something again for a lot less money, I'd go back to the Titan II upgrade from Biketronics. That was a good setup. The best upgrade I ever had, before I spent the money on a nice JL system. Get an amp too, for best results.
Put boom speakers front and rear in my 2012 limited.....sounds great. On the highway doing 70-80 I can still hear it fine. I'm happy with how it sounds, don't need it any louder......just my $.02..........
