Checking ignition system
Dummy me,
I installed cams a few weeks ago and set about to cranking the motor with the plugs out to circulate some oil prior to starting up and did not realize that this was bad for the ignition system. Everything seems to run well for the most part but I seem to be achieving less power than expected. I haven't had it dyno'd yet but plan to soon. I wanted to know now to check all the ignition components to make sure all is well.
Also, why is damage likely when cranking without the plugs.
