Just got back from Sturgis; what a trip! Had too much fun, and spent too much money!!! HAHA While I was up there, I ran across the progressive guys at Black Hills Harley Davidson. I had them install progressive 944s on my 2014 Street Glide. I can't believe the improvement these shocks made! Bike sits the same height as before, but seems to just glide over bumps in the road and hold tighter in corners. I got the shocks for $725, including taxes and installation. I am very happy with the purchase.
Sturgis was some of the best riding I have ever did. The rally was great but to tell the truth, the rallies are getting played out for me but the riding was the best. Someday I will return just to ride needles and custard and devils tower.
I stopped at the progressive booth as well. I was looking at the new remote preload shocks for my Heritage. They had them there, but did not do installs on Softails at the rally, only bikes with exposed shocks. They did not have a lift. That was OK, I only wanted to look as I was on my Limited.
That's a lot of cash for those shocks. I thought 14's came with the HD hand adjustables? Or is that just the Street Glide Special?
Mine had the air shocks, which suck. I have been pricing these shocks, and haven't been able to find any better deals on them; so I am fine with my purchase.

You can get them for $496.33 with free shipping from one of the vendors in this link. I've been thinking about getting these or the HD low profile hand adjustables. Did you get the regular or heavy duty spring?
I just upgraded my 12 Street Glide to the Premium, hand adjustable shocks.
Easy install, about 30 minutes (you need to jack the rear tire off the ground, two bolts and remove the air hoses)
It is a better system than the air shocks. I used to feel about the same road impacts from the rear as the front, now the rear transmits far fewer impacts, and feels much more planted.
