Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the replies. I will work on getting a tuner first. Most likely a Power Commander III. I'll keep my search up for the right slip-ons in the meantime.
I got the Rinehart 4" slip-ons, not sure which are needed for yours, and love the sound!! When I was looking I asked many folks about the need to retune and generally got a "not needed" response, but also see that there are some that recommend.
So the question I have would be do you need to retune or get Power Commander/other for slip-ons? I'm really not looking for additional power, but I also want the bike to run correctly and perform as advertised... I'm all stock other than the slip-ons and average ~42 mpg... thoughts?
If you want deeper than the stock 2000 slip-ons without getting too loud find a set of new stock 2014 slip-on take-offs. They can be had for $40.00 shipped on ebay and sound good but you can still hear yourself think. Anything louder and you'll need ear plugs for a long ride. I did this and they sound loud and deep enough for me.

Reason: spelling.
check out RCX-haust. nice deep sound. love mine and have the FL xieds.
I agree. I never heard of RCX until my friend bought a new limited and put them on. They are exactly what I was looking for. Deep but not too loud at all.

If you didn't change the intake you should be fine with the stock tune.
