All my wiring is complete, didn't fire her up yet, but all the gauges appear to work. Also got my aux input soldered back up, ended up not running a pigtail from the back of the stereo, as I don't have a torx small enough to take out those tiny screws. Stereo is in and working.

Only thing yet to figure out is the turn signals. Once that's done, all I will need to do is hook up my clutch and throttle cables and trim my lowers. Pretty sure it will be done tomorrow evening, and maybe , just maybe I will get in a test ride.

Yes, going to run them for now, I don't think they look to bad. When I paint it, I am planning to change them to black bars.

Didn't know they would fit. Clearance looks rather tight from the pics. I doubt my aftermarket bars will work out for me. Ordering new ones tomorrow anyways. Nicely done by the way. I'm excited to get started.

That project didn't really seem to take that long. I think I will add Yaffe 12 bars when I do the conversion. Great job and appreciate you allowing us to follow along

Glad to see you're having a pretty easy go at getting it all together. It's really not that hard of a job, just looks intimidating!!! You're going to enjoy your new look and bike when she's all done!!!

The actual conversion only took a weekend once all the parts arrived.
What is the difference between the harness on the part list provide vs the one you purchased? Any need for a service manual b4 attempting this perhaps for torque specs? It seems as if this is really a plug and play conversion...of course as i write this, the manual may be helpful since I have to change my bars. How will this mod impact resale, titled as SG, and sold as RG. Did you guys sell your SG parts or keep to convert back when and if you choose to sell your bikes?

I don't know what the difference is between the harnesses, but since I have an '08 I went with the '08 harness.

A service manual is very handy and yes the torque specs are there too!

It is a fairly plug-n-play deal. Like I said earlier, it looks intimidating, but it's really not that hard if you're semi mechanically inclined.

I have no idea on how this effects resale, and honestly by the time I'm ready to sell what's going to be the resale value of an '08 anyway. Just like with any mod you're never going to get back what you put into it unless someone is willing to pay for it.

As for my old Street Glide Parts, I sold most of them to a friend who wanted to convert his Road King into a Batwing.

I've got way more in my conversion as at the time of conversion I installed the CCE upper triple tree and fork kit, changed bars, changed all the gauge lights and radio lights to green LEDs and of course a full custom paint job. So there is no way I'll ever recoup my mods at resale, unless there is someone willing to pay me for them!

But the best part of the conversion is I now have a one off bike, that I did on my own for far less than buying a new CVO!!!

ALMOST DONE!!! (Except for paint)

Everything I can put on is on, but I am still not finished. I still need my left turn signal bracket which should be here tomorrow. It was on back order and Kutter shipped it yesterday. I am also waiting on my 8" Klock Werks Shield, which I thought was going to arrive today (UPS tracking had today as the delivery date)

Anyway, here are some updated pics:
