Default Wobble King

Well I know I have posted about my Road King Wobble before but I thought I would give an update.
Took Bike out this weekend for a quick trip to the mountains. Got two wobbles on way up.. On way back Bike felt unsafe and not under complete control the whole way home. I was in a head wind on way back but not real bad. It scared the carp out of my girl friend. She doesn't want to get back on bike now.
I finally got pissed off enough and called Harley. They said bring the bike down. I took it in today and they checked everything, EVERYTHING. Then they took it for a ride on a freeway sweeper that I told them it happens every time there.
Final answer from Harley, "The bike rides great and that is how these bikes ride!!!"
I could not believe it. I see so many Road Kings on the road and I know it is a popular bike. I have rode Softail all my life and this Road King is not livable. Why in the world would anyone want a wobbly loose bike?
So I am going to try putting the rear stabilizer on and see if I can live with the bike that way.. If not It is gone. I just cant afford the Stabilizer right now.

Yep, necessary information.

A buddy of mine was having issues on his 06 Ultra on his way to Sturgis this year.

Once there, he decided to have a True Track installed. As part of the installation, they check all the motor mounts.

His front motor mount was *toast*. Sheared in half. Luckily Rapid HD had a replacement, and I'm told they use better rubber now, but that, in addition to a True Track, he was a happy camper.

So I'd check the front motor mount, could be toast if its really that bad.

also CCE has bushings for the rear of the swing arm that compliment the tru-trac. had an 01 that I went to great lengths to correct the problem, made it better by a lot, but never really good, only fix was an 09 bike with new frame design

Bike is a 2006.. looks like a bad year for FLH chassis. My friend has a 2007 RK and he says his is fine. I am going to have to do all the mods that everyone here talks about. Sucks. I took every last dime to get the bike and now it needs a ton of mods to make it ride right. I like how everyone says go get a 2009 model like I have an extra $10 grand in my pocket after the loss of the money on this bike. hahahaha..

Lots of details left out. Year, Suspension setup, Tires, Wheels, tire air pressure, etc.

I think you meant you called one of your local dealers, and not "Harley" corporate? Right.
They are not the same, so don't confuse the two.

Not all dealer are created equal either. Same as the mechanics they have working on the bike.

If there really is an issue, a good mechanic should have no trouble finding it.

Maybe try a different dealer.
At the same time, ask one if you can test ride a Road King similar to yours just to see how one is supposed to ride.
Only reason I say that, is because the first dealer told you that it road great.
You need a known good bike to compare it too.

The thing about a 09 and up is they will wobble too. Don't assume the dealer actually looked at your bike and /or rode it like you do when it does the hula dance. You need to check it your self. True track also has that Tracula set up that is the true track link and needle bearings set up for the trans pivot. Id check the motor mounts and consider the tracula.
