Lol, thanks for the fast replies. Conflicting input about the baffle, but everyone seems to like the fangs. I had the fangs on my FLH Shovel, and really liked them. Especially because they were a huge blast of chrome. I guess I will give the baffle a shot. I will look for a cheap used one first I guess. Then I will search for some fangs. I LOVE the lower fairings, so they are staying no matter what.
Thanks guys!
I have the fork cup and it works. Reduced the buffeting. Are you guys calling the walrus tusks that mount outside the fork "fangs"? I have those also. With the fork cup, fang, lowers, recurve shield and freedom wings I can control any wind.
I consider the fork cup baffle to be one of the best "bang for the buck" items I've added to my bike. I noticed an immediate difference in the airflow coming from that area. $25 and a 5 minute install make a great deal.
BTW, I also use the JES fork deflectors during the cooler months. They work so well I can't use them during the summer months. The amount of air flow they eliminate is just too much in hot weather. http://www.jescustomaccents.com/cate...?categoryId=34
i copied the outer fork leg mounts that behind ultra fairing the long chrome harley ones just too hot in summer made a set out of clear lexxan at work .. the spiral air sausage that hits me in ears now runs along my waist can hear radio much better too

Nice work, 2009blackpearle. I've thought about cutting my fork deflectors at almost the same point... right behind the signals.
I have both the baffle and the fangs. I think both work but feel the baffle is much better for the rain than anything else. I do lots of touring and one thing I had a problem with was the amount of water that would come up and over my tank and then hit me in the chest and face. After I installed the baffle, it was very much reduced.
I say the fork baffle works and offers improvement, not huge like dark and light but it does make a difference.
Well worth the 25 bucks.
The fangs are ugly no matter how you slice them and they hang in the shop because they are so ugly. Do they work well??? Heck yes !!! I put em on when it gets around 35-40 degrees.
