How many miles do you have on this modification? Are running high speeds at long periods?

Thanks,

Was going to swop out pully and drive gear..belt.. on previous bike(custom) and got vastly different opinions from "you will ruin entire gear range" to "I have done this to every bike Ive owned" This could start a new post but just curious

Nothing wrong with RevTec, Acc. Unlimited, or Ultima.....as long as your not running HUGE HP.....plenty of them on the road. Bakers are nice but areNOT necessary for everyone....
What do you consider Huge Horsepower?

I had a Revtec 6 behind a Kendall Johnson 124" that made 140 h.p. that I rode for 3 years with no probs......so I'd say over 150 would be where I'd consider using a tougher tranny

I have 6000 miles on the gear set and normal cruise speed is 75 miles an hour. I just realized that you have the 99 also. I like my 6 speed and enjoy the Low rpm cruising but a 99 or earlier ownercan re-gear without the cost of the6 speed. I watched ebay and picked up a good steel 34 tooth/cogfront pulley for $110, a new 65 tooth rear pulley for$25 and a new belt for $75. That will take your stock 3.37 final drive to 2.94. Onceyou do the math that gives you a 5th gear that is equal to everybody's 6th gear. Just a thought that you may want to kick around. It really adds some legs to each and every gear. Go out to Knightrider.com and they have a drive calculator and mph to rpm calculator that I use to plug all of the numbers into. You have a 24 tooth engine sprocket and a 37 tooth clutch, with a 32 trans and a 70 rear wheel which are stock for 99 which equals the 3.37 final drive. http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/calc_speed_rpm.htm
