Default Compensator Spring Pack question

P/N 83936-09a.

With calling HD anyone know if this will fit a "stock 2007 Compensator?

I see it on the parts list online but......

It looks like it's the replacement pack for Scream Eagle one not the stock

Been away for awhile and I just saw this...Dawgie chime in.....

Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks

Don't exactly know what your asking, but the SE compensator should replace the OEM compensator. You don't replace any parts of the comp, you replace the whole thing.

Its a new part from what I see and it is just the "spring pack"

My compensator looks like brand new (50K +) but the spring seem to be getting weak.
If this is a replacement for just the spring pack I'm all in.

I'm hoping this will fit a Stock unit, is what I'm asking

Mine is not bad enough to spend the$ 400.00 plus a stator for what I feel is still junk

Spring pack on stock comp is part of the rotor and is retained with dented prongs. Would have to replace the whole rotor.

Spring pack is separate and can be replaced individually. my stock comp looks perfect, the spring pack was out of spec (measure the thickness of the springs together) and dealer did not have new comp in stock anyway so replaced the spring pack and torqued it all according to spec... good as new.

i know you can buy comp. parts, but what about adding another one of the small springs to the pack to tighten up the slop?

Hey Weaver I'm pretty interested in replacing the spring pack on my 07 flstn, are the instructions on replacement in the manual or is there someplace else I can find them? thanks for any info, After reading all the bad news about the different changes in the SE comps, i'd like to stick with just changing the spring packs, Thanks!!

I put the part number into google. Lots of Harley dealers want to sell that kit but none listed showed a picture. The first Ebay entry showing that part number had a picture of the 5 "conical washers" sutable ONLY for the SE Comp and '11 and newer factory compensators.

That is only for the SE comp so no will not fit your bike unless you have upgraded already.

Try this PDF it's the install for the SE comp. They show the springs for that comp as that part number. http://www.harley-davidson.com/app-c...ts/-J05674.PDF
