Was given $17,700 for my 12 Limited with 16,000 miles last October. The trade value is good. Dealer knocked $2,000 of MSRP on my 14 Limited. Don't know the Msrp on the sgs is but you should be able to get at least $3,000 off the Msrp now since the 15's should be out next week.
I would shoot for your bike + 4500 OTD. Or at least use it as a starting point. Isn't 22,500 close to MSRP on a SGS? I know in the spring you could buy 2014 SGS for 22,500 OTD in Iowa (6% tax), so you should be able to get a much better deal now that 15's are gonna be hitting the floor anytime, even with a trade in.

When I went in to look at this last weekend they had the price at $24,900. But on Harley's website MSRP is $22,500. This bike does have ABS, Cruise, Security, but I thought all the Street Glide Specials had that??

your value will drop as time moves along. i made a similar deal. but i had NO choice. my '09 street glide went down and bent the frame... total loss..... insurance company made me get a brand new bike... i saved a few parts that transferred to the new one... i love this bike! (loved my last one too)
good luck with your decision.. HD wont do any major changes to this line for a few years so might as well get in with as little out of pocket cash as possible... thats just my 2 pennys
