Composite Rotor Meltdown
I've used Lyndall products a lot in the past. I've met Paul. IMHO he makes great stuff but as a small company they always seem to have cash flow issues and then ignore calls so they don't have to explain.
Paul is a nice guy, his wife is terrible to have to deal with over the phone.
I wish he could keep his head above water as I truly believe he has a great product.
Wouldn't blame you if you went elsewhere for your needs.

So the other night I called Lyndall and spoke with Paul. First off he is arrogant and just ridiculous to deal with.
He basically said could I prove in a court of law that his rotors were defective. Then he went on to say he would replace the rotor. I said that would be good for his vendor but not for me. He refused to pay anything in terms of reimbursements for my extended cost due to the melt down. He even said they had failures but it was a low failure rate.
Paul said he got an attitude about the whole thing when The vendor called him on a Sunday about what had happened. Paul stated he knew he was being a A-Hole. I agreed with him.
I hope he squares Aaron away at GR Customs, who did me right from the beginning. Doubtful.

With what you've got, I'd say you could prove in court they were defective. Is it worth the fight? That would be up to you.
I've seen enough things about Lyndall, both on their own web page about their products, and the problems posted by others, that I've no intention of ever running their products on any machine of mine.
Guys, you could perhaps investigate on the chemical resistance of these composite rotors to high temperature alkaline and oxidizing contaminants. These rotors run hot and are exposed to chemicals during production.
I fail to see the reasoning behind spending that much money on composite anything for a Harley. FYI, my harley stops just fine with good old regular steel rotors. Now if you are racing your touring harley alongside ducatis and kawis then more power to ya. Oh and you probably shouldn't buy those fancy rotors from some fly-by-night dude working out of his garage hiding from his bitchy wife.
