Default speedometer/tach backlighting issues

So I recently replaced my speedometer w/ Harley combination speedometer/tachometer (p/n #70900070a) and absolutely love it!! I had replaced it several months ago and have had NO issues with it whatsoever. That is until recently, riding the other day the backlighting on the guage shut off and did not come back until I stopped the bike and turned it off and back on. This morning it did the same thing!! The connection on the back of the guage is good, all fuses are good.................any ideas???

If this is happening in low light or night time conditions, get out your instructions and change the color of your back lighting and see if that solves the problem.
